Terms of Service
Last updated: July 16, 2026
Welcome to AskLedger. These terms are a simple agreement between you and us about how the service works. By using AskLedger, you agree to them.
1. What AskLedger is
AskLedger lets you ask questions about your business finances in plain English and get back reports. Answers are generated with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). AskLedger is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Intuit Inc. or QuickBooks in any way.
2. Free trial and paid plans
You can ask a limited number of questions for free, with no card required. Paid plans (Pro and Firm) are monthly subscriptions that start with a 14-day free trial. You can cancel at any time; if you cancel during the trial you pay nothing. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
3. Payments are handled by Paddle
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which acts as the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles payment processing, invoices, sales tax, and customer service related to billing. Paddle's own terms and privacy policy also apply to your purchase.
4. AI answers — check before you rely on them
Reports are generated by AI and, while we work hard on accuracy (every answer shows a "Showing:" line explaining how your question was understood), mistakes are possible. AskLedger does not provide accounting, tax, legal, or investment advice. Always verify important numbers before making financial decisions or filings.
5. Fair use
Don't misuse the service: no attempting to break, overload, or reverse-engineer it, no reselling access without our permission, and no using it for anything illegal. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.
6. Our liability
AskLedger is provided "as is." To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or losses resulting from decisions made based on reports. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.
7. Changes
We may update these terms as the product grows. If we make a significant change, we'll post it here with a new "last updated" date. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
